Steven’s story
An entrepreneur and lifelong resident of West Hartford, Connecticut, Steven Lane relishes when an idea for a poem grabs him and demands that he pull out a pen and write. His poetry draws primarily on simple moments, spotlighting the mundane and revealing its depths. Steven has published two collections of his poetry, The Raft and Regards from Beaver Lake and is working on his third. He also plays guitar and hopes to put his poetry to music one day.
Steven counts his blessings every time he’s sitting around a fire with friends and enjoys surprising neighbors with fresh donuts on random Sunday mornings. He loves a good sun shower and nights playing poker in the Villa. Steven’s life has also been graced by the gift of his love for a number of animal companions. Each has left their mark on his heart. Most of all, Steven enjoys spending time with the love of his life, Erin, whether playing tennis, grazing on appetizers at the bar at Bricco, or walking at the reservoir in the fall. His love poems are a testament to their long-standing connection.
